# LeCoreOS 11 · 0.8.4 cooked by LeSamsky ## v0.8.4 latency controls and credit The app credit is **cooked by LeSamsky**. Existing 0.8.2/0.8.3 installations can use **LeCoreOS-11-0.8.4-Update.zip** → extract → close games and Control Center → **Update.cmd** from the original gaming account. It validates and updates app files, then applies the documented competitive base. Restart Windows afterward. No reinstall is needed. Read [Latency setup and comparisons](LATENCY-UPDATE.html) before testing optional controls. Zero input delay is not promised. ## Installation Import **LeCoreOS-11-0.8.4.apbx** directly into AME Wizard. Do not extract it or import the source/wallpaper ZIP. Use the same gaming administrator account as before, keep its backups, close games/Control Center, connect AC power and finish pending Windows restarts first. The Windows and service options remain in AME. During application, one scrollable **Choose apps to install** window opens. Select apps, then Continue installation. Closing this window skips all optional apps. Finish and close any official vendor setup windows so AME can continue. Restart Windows afterward. Windows 11 x64 23H2 and later are targeted with feature checks. 26H2 and later builds require testing on the actual PC. No future Windows patch or vendor update is guaranteed. ARM64 and Server are not targeted. ## Changes - Visible brand **LeCoreOS 11**, with the approved silver/orange LC basketball app icon. - Compact controls in all seven Control Center sections, with brief **ⓘ** hover help. Errors and restart notices stay visible. - PC settings → Appearance: **Orange (default), Green, Blue, Purple**. Changes are immediate, saved per account, and apply to active-setting highlights. - One app segment in this order: **Brave, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Discord, Epic Games Launcher Preview, Steam, NVIDIA App, Riot Client, ExitLag, VLC media player, MSI Afterburner**. PC settings also has the combined chooser and individual retry buttons. - PC name **LeCoreOS-11**, applied without a forced reboot. The original name is saved; PC settings has Apply and Restore buttons. Domain-joined PCs and another pending rename are preserved. Finish the initial rename with a restart before restoring it. - Six approved **3840 × 2160 upscaled exports**: Locker Room, Gaming Room, Cosmic Court, Ferrari SF-26, McLaren MCL40 and Neon Street Court. The gaming room replaces the library. Each has **cooked by LeSamsky**. Product details and tiny vehicle decals are artistic approximations. - Neon Street Court remains default. Rotation is On for a first install and respects an existing Off choice. It advances at sign-in after restart, shutdown or sign-out; lock and sleep do not advance it. ## Current app versions WinGet choices use exact IDs from the **standard Microsoft community source**, refresh that source, and request the newest available stable package without pinning a version. Existing matching installations receive an upgrade check. Steam and Afterburner use their actual x86 bootstrapper/installer on Windows x64. Normal hash/malware checks and vendor updaters remain enabled. No LeCoreOS update service stays running. Epic Preview, NVIDIA App, Riot Client and ExitLag resolve current installer links from official websites at install time. Redirect hosts are restricted and executable signatures must be trusted and match the vendor. These use **visible official setup screens** because an unattended switch was not verified. Complete prompts and close setup to continue. Exit 0 alone is recorded as **setup finished**, not a verified installation. A changed link or publisher stops that app and needs a retry or playbook update. **Epic Preview:** from , at your request. It replaces the legacy launcher. Epic’s updated guidance says competitive play and development work once the game/tool is running. The launcher remains a Preview, so this optional app is unchecked by default. This option does not substitute the stable WinGet Epic launcher. **Riot Client:** Riot distributes it through game setup. This option opens the current official VALORANT bootstrapper, which installs Riot Client. Follow its prompts and choose game/Vanguard installation separately. It is not a fabricated standalone client installer. NVIDIA App requires a detected NVIDIA GPU. No automatic driver upgrade, overlay configuration, overclock, paid plan or subscription is applied by LeCoreOS. ExitLag use may require payment after its trial. Catalogs can lag vendor releases, so current-source resolution does not promise instant or permanent future compatibility. Optional app failures are recorded and do not stop the Windows customization. PC settings shows a retry summary. Use its app buttons or Installed apps to finish. ## Gaming and recovery The working gaming behavior is retained: separate Fortnite Low/Far and VALORANT Low profiles, Game Mode/capture controls, supported NVIDIA per-game and AMD global driver controls, Max Performance power plan and original-plan recovery, optional Ethernet controls, SQM recommendations and per-setting recovery. Set Fortnite Performance mode and NVIDIA Reflex On + Boost **in game**, then close the game and save its choices. In VALORANT choose Low/Off graphics and Reflex On + Boost on NVIDIA, or supported in-game Anti-Lag 2 on AMD. Close Riot before editing its settings. Configuration readback is not measured input latency. TPM, Secure Boot, Defender, audio/controller/capture and anti-cheat dependencies are retained. HVCI/VBS stay manual and guarded; disabling protection may block Vanguard. Max Performance can increase heat and power. Ethernet tweaks cannot remove distance/ISP delay; configure SQM on the router yourself. The user reported good responsiveness with the prior release. No measured FPS gain, input-to-display latency, ping reduction or 60–70 process result is established for this build. Keep the original backups and use Control Center → Recovery. Stable AME UUID, logical ID **LeGameOS**, recovery format and these compatibility paths intentionally remain: - `%ProgramFiles%\LeGameOS` — installed payload. - `%ProgramData%\LeGameOS` — protected machine journals and LeGameOS.log. - `%LOCALAPPDATA%\LeGameOS` — account journals, app install record and Appearance.json. Windows retains its real Microsoft product identity, edition and activation. LeCoreOS 11 is the customization brand. Existing desktop items are preserved; only a verified shortcut to this exact old app is migrated. Recovery does not silently uninstall third-party apps. ## Validation Automated PowerShell parsing, mocked logic, C# compilation, XML/UI structure and archive/hash checks run here. Native Windows, AME Wizard, WPF rendering, vendor setup execution, reboot recovery and hardware/game benchmarks still require Windows testing. See VALIDATION.md and Tests/*-Results.txt in the source. ## Detailed guides - [Game profiles](GAME-PROFILES.html) - [Latency research](LATENCY-RESEARCH.html) - [Network and SQM](NETWORK-GUIDE.html) - [Controls and security](CONTROL-CENTER.html) - [Competition/services](COMPETITION.html) Current Epic guidance checked October 16, 2026: https://launcher.epicgames.com/ and https://store.epicgames.com/news/epic-games-launcher-preview
